DLSA celebrates International Youth Day

KARGIL, AUGUST 12, 2021: As per the calendar of activities issued by the Ladakh Legal Services Authority, International Youth Day was celebrated at the District Court Complex Kargil under supervision of the Chairman District Legal Services Authority Kargil and Principal and District Sessions Judge Mohd Rafiq Chak here today.
The programme was chaired by the Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) Kargil Nawang Phunsog and moderated by the Secretary District Legal Services Authority Kargil Moneer Ahmad.
Speakers including the CJM Kargil and Advocate Muhammad Saleem and Advocate Nissar Hussain spoke on the importance of the day.
The speakers highlighted the cultural, social and legal issues pertaining to youth and how these issues can be addressed and how stakeholders including the government and legal aid institutions can help in addressing these issues.
The Tehsil Legal Services Committee Drass also observed International Youth Day in collaboration with Government Degree College Drass. The programme was presided over by the Chairman Tehsil Legal Services Committee Drass Ms. Deldan Angmo.
Meanwhile, as per the directions of the DLSA Kargil, International Youth Day was also observed at Bodh Kharboo by PLV Tsering Choldon in collaboration with Maha Bodhi Middle School.
Further, as reported by the PLVs of District Legal Services Authority Kargil, Stanzin Chorol of Bodh Kharboo, Pasang Dolma of Shargole, Dawa Angmo of Batalik, Rabiya Banoo and Thinles Angmo of Zanskar, Sakina Banoo of Chiktan, Amina Banoo of Baroo and Zahra Batool of Front Office Kargil organized programmes on International Youth Day in their respective areas.
