Div Com Ladakh Saugat Biswas chairs meeting of Revenue Dept Kargil

KARGIL, DECEMBER 11, 2021: Divisional Commissioner Ladakh Saugat Biswas chaired a review meeting of the Revenue Department here today at Conference Hall Baroo.
Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Tsering Motup, SDMs of all sub divisions, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars besides other concerned officers of Revenue Department were present in the meeting.
During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner took a detailed status of writing up of Jamabandi and Girdawari, records of newly-bifurcated villages, attestation of mutations, land acquisition, vacancy of posts, removal of encroachments of Common Kharchari Land and other public issues.
Regarding vacant posts, the Divisional Commissioner was informed that a total of 35 posts of Patwaris are lying vacant.
In this regard, Saugat Biswas directed DC Kargil to forward a proposal to the Union Territory Administration for recruitment at the earliest.
While taking assessment of Nambardars in the district, the Divisional Commissioner directed for immediate release of the pending remuneration and arrears of Nambardars and also directed to send a proposal to the UT administration for funds if required.
He further directed to assess infrastructure and other improvements regarding Patwar Khanas, Nayabat, Tehsil and SDM offices and forward a proposal in this regard for necessary funding.
The Divisional Commissioner also directed DC Kargil to submit a proposal for internet connectivity to all major tehsil offices and assured to take necessary steps .
While taking the status of writing of Jamabandi in the district, Saugat Biswas directed the concerned officers to clear all the Jamabandi works by 31st of March 2022.
He further stressed that after every 15 days, the concerned SDMs should update about the status of work done in their respective areas.
The Divisional Commissioner also directed to re-engage retired revenue officers for Jamabandi works where there is vacancy of such posts.
During the meeting, he also took assessment of Girdawari works, attestation of Mutations and directed to work with commitment and dedication as the Revenue Department is one of the vital departments of the Union Territory.
