    District Level Kala Utsav online Competition in Leh

    Leh, Nov 27: The District level Kala Utsav-2021 Competition of Leh District was held at Culture Academy Leh through virtual mode with pre-recorded videos and descriptions submitted in Six Arts forms. Vocal Music- traditional Folk, Dance- Folk, Instrumental Music- traditional Folk; Visual Arts (2-D), Visual Arts (3-D), Indigenous toys and games.
    In the presence of jury members, Tsewang Paljor (Deputy Secretary Culture Academy, UT Ladakh); Tsering Angchuk Ralam (Instrumentalist, Grade-A, All India Radio Leh; Chemat Dorjay (Sculpture Artist, Master in Fine Arts); Tsering Motup Siddho (Master in Fine Arts Painting)
    The Jury Judged the participants through their Pre-Recorded videos and description now these selected candidates will participate in UT level competition to be held in first week of December. Further the selected candidates will perform Live in a dedicated studio setup at UT Ladakh for the National level Competition to be held in the month of January 2022. The list of the selected students for the district level competition in six Art forms are Changchup Dorje; Rinchen Dolma; Norbo Zangmo; Rigzin Angmo; Tsering Kunsal; Padma Chosphel; Tsewang Chuskit; Sonam Stanzin; Saira Bano
    Kala Utsav is an initiative of Department of School Education & Literacy. Ministry of Education (MOE). Government of India, launched in 2015, to promote arts in education, by nurturing and showcasing the artistic talent of school students (Secondary level) in the country.
