District Admn, LAHDC provide essential commodities in remote villages of Nubra
Leh, June 01: The District Administration and LAHDC Leh provided essential commodities in remote villages such as Digger, Tangyar, Kheema and Khungru of Nubra sub-division facing shortages due to the ongoing Covid-19 curfew. Essential items, including consumable items, fruits and vegetables, were distributed through the Cooperative Department and Consumer Cooperative Society, Disket.
The distribution drive took place in the presence of Deputy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, Tsering Angchuk; Assistant Registrar, Cooperative Department, Nubra, Sonam Rinchen; officials of Consumer Cooperative Society, Disket and Nambardar and Sarpanches of the respective villages. The villagers appreciated the efforts of the District Administration and LAHDC Leh for alleviating their situation.
As informed, a similar distribution drive also took place in several villages of the Singay-Lalok belt in the third week of April by the Cooperative Department, Leh through the Bami Duniya Cooperative Society, Leh.
