DC Santosh visits Kargil Airport, Civil Helipad, calls for smooth execution of courier, Heli services

KARGIL, DECEMBER 22, 2021: Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today visited Kargil Airport and Civil Helipad to take assessment of necessary infrastructure and logistics for smooth functioning of courier and Heli services.
SSP Kargil Anayat Ali Chowdhury, Executive Engineer PWD 2nd Division Kacho Mehmood Ali Khan, Coordinator AN 32 courier service Mohammad Hassan, Officers of Indian Airforce besides concerned officers of various department accompanied the DC Kargil during the visit.
At Kargil Airport, the Deputy Commissioner directed PWD to repair the furniture and other accessories at the earliest possibility.
He also directed Municipal Committee Kargil to ensure proper cleanliness of Airport premises and directed Animal Husbandry Department to remove pedestrian dogs from the Airport site.
DC Santosh asserted that concerned departments shall coordinate with the Airport authority and Coordinator AN 32 services in the proper execution of the assigned duties.
At Civil Helipad, DC Kargil took assessment of infrastructure and developmental activities and directed to complete the helipad hanger within 15 days.
Meanwhile, DC Santosh also took assessment of the pending works and directed the concerned officer to start helicopter services at early as possible in order to provide regular Heli services to passengers and patients who wish to travel Jammu and Srinagar during winter months.
