DC Kargil chairs review meeting to discuss achievements of FY 2022-23, finalize targets under MGNREGA for 2023-24.

Kargil, May 31, 2023: Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve today chaired a review meeting at his office chamber to discuss achievements of FY 2022-23 and finalize physical and financial targets under MGNREGA for the year 2023-24.
Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Ghulam Mohammad, besides Block Development Officers (BDOs) of Taisuru, Shakar-Chiktan, Sodh, Drass, Bhimbhet, and Pashkum were present during the meeting.
The BDOs gave detailed presentations of respective blocks and informed the DC about the works achieved and financial progress, geo-tagging, Aadhaar status, employment target, projected plan and budget for the financial year 2023-24.
DC Kargil directed BDO Shakar Chiktan to coordinate with SDM Shakar Chiktan to clean the Nallah at the earliest to avoid damage to public property during any natural calamity.
The Deputy Commissioner directed ACD Kargil to publicize the works done under MGNREGA through various social media platforms to aware people about various works.
DC Santosh also directed ACD Kargil to start plantation drives in every block and make people aware of the benefits of clean and green environment.
The Deputy Commissioner also directed all the BDOs to increase the number of Aadhaar seeding and geo-tagging in the respective blocks. DC Kargil directed BDOs to utilize the government funds in an optimum way at the ground level to benefit the people at large.
He also directed the concerned officers to achieve 100 percent work completion of grey water management at the earliest. He also directed to focus on Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) works in their respective blocks to achieve the target of works at the stipulated time period.
The Deputy Commissioner said that in order to access the quality of works done till date the inspection of works will be conducted in every block soon.
