    Cultural Academy Leh organises workshops at Hanley

    Leh, July 25: Ladakh Academy of Arts Culture and Languages, Leh, under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, is organising three different workshops, including a ten-day traditional astrology workshop, Chhams (mask dance) workshop and cultural workshop for the youth, at Hanley village in Changthang area.

    The traditional astrology and Chhams workshop is going on at the Hanley monastery. A workshop on Chhams is being held for the first time. Hanley Lopon was present as the chief guest during the inaugural ceremony. He appreciated the Cultural Academy for organising such workshops at remote places like Hanley. He requested the Cultural Academy to organise a Mandala-making workshop in the future at the monastery.

    Similarly, the cultural workshop for the youth is also going on at Hanley. Nambardar Hanley was the chief guest for the event. He expressed gratitude and thanked the Cultural Academy for its initiative in organising the workshop. Highlighting the need for cultural preservation, he urged the participants to take maximum benefits from such a workshop.
