Councilor Bhimbet holds meeting at Thasgam Drass

KARGIL, JUNE 02, 2022: Lower Constituency Councilor (Bhimbet), Syed Mohammad Shah today organized a meeting at community hall Thasgam Drass.
The meeting was attended by BDO Bhimbet, ZEO Drass, AE PHE, AEE PDD, Exen R&B, Sarpanchs, Panchs, Namberdars and locals of the adjoining area.
During the meeting, locals raised many grievances. The concerned officials gave them a patient hearing. Regarding lack of teaching staff in schools, the ZEO Drass assured the locals that the problem will be solved at the earliest.
Panch Thasgam raised the issue of transformer in the village. However, the AEE PDD said that a transformer is ready to be installed.
Sarpanch Thasgams raised the issue of old tap water connections of Dandal Thang village. The concerned officials said that 1300 meters of tap water connections stand completed and further to be completed under retrofitting upgradation.
Regarding the drought situation of Smart and Dandal Thang village, the Councilor said the lift irrigation plant will be installed soon and instructed PDD to examine the light facility.
During the meeting, the Councilor announced Rs 5 lakh from CDF fund for the repair work of irrigation canal of Thasgam village.
To empower the Panchayat system, Sarpanch Chowkiyal demanded that an amount be issued to Panchs to use it for the betterment of their respective Gram Sabha.
While responding to the demands of locals regarding waste management, the BDO said that a segregation centre will be installed in the coming year to overcome the problem of garbage.
In the end, the Councilor thanked all the officers, officials, representatives and the general public for taking part in the meeting.
