Chairman DDMA Leh reviews flash flood restoration works

Leh, Aug 31: Chairman, District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Leh, Shrikant Suse, convened a meeting to review the temporary and permanent flash flood restoration works in the district.
Chairman DDMA Leh inquired about the status of restoration of damaged roads, headworks of irrigation khuls, electric poles, footbridges, culverts, buildings at Skyu-Markha, Rumchung, Rumbak, Jingchen, Bogdang, Tsati, Murgi, Turtuk and areas affected by flash floods.
Chairman DDMA Leh impressed upon the concerned departmental officers to submit estimates under temporary and permanent restoration categories at the earliest. He directed concerned officials to release funds for works undertaken under temporary restoration. He further directed the Assistant Commissioner of Revenue and Chief Planning Officer to verify the restoration works completed with the Sub-Divisional Magistrates (SDMs).
Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Leh; Assistant Commissioner Development, Leh; Chief Planning Officer, Leh; Executive Engineers from Construction, Road and Building (R&B), Irrigation and Flood Control (I&FC), Public Health Engineering (PHE), Power Development Department (PDD) attended the meeting.
