CEC reviews status of proposed hydroelectric projects in Leh

Leh, Nov 29: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson convened a meeting today to review the Detailed Studies and Project Reports (DPR) for various planned hydroelectric projects to be established in the Leh district.
The meeting deliberated on the status of various hydroelectric projects being planned in villages of Khaltsi, Achinathang, and Hanu thang respectively. The meeting also discussed several other projects which have been proposed in the Nubra valley.
CEC Tashi Gyalson instructed the officials to explore more feasibility on the said projects concerning the capacities of the energy sources. He also directed concerned officials of NHPC, and JKPDC to work on the detailed studies of the project assigned and update timely status to the office of the Chairman, LAHDC Leh.
The meeting was attended by Dy Chairman, LAHDC Leh, DC Leh, Councillor Khaltsi, Chief Engineer PDD, SE PWD Leh, SE PDD Leh, Managing Director NHPC, Managing Director JKPDC, and Project Director LREDA.
