CEC Reviews Preparations for Mega Plantation Drive in Chushul

Leh, April 23: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson reviewed preparations for the Mega Plantation Drive at Chushul to be held on the World Environment Day, 5th June 2022.
CEC Gyalson reviewed various developmental progress from the respective departments for the mega plantation drive. The district officers from various district departments apprised CEC regarding the developmental progress of the Mega Plantation Drive at Chushul.
CEC emphasised the importance of the event as a part of the Go Green Project initiated by H.H Skyabgon Chetsang Rinpoche in respect of environmental challenges and the goal to make Ladakh completely organic. He directed the District officials for the successful preparation for the event by taking note of the convenience of guest visitors and participants.
The meeting was attended by Executive Councillor for RDD, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; Executive Councillor for Agriculture, Stanzin Chosphel; Executive Councillor for Horticulture, Ghulam Mehdi Ashoor; Nominated Councillor, Ven Konchok Tsephel; District Officers and officials from the Agriculture, Forest, Horticulture, Health, RDD, I&FC, Command Area Development, R&B, PDD and PHE Department Leh, Representatives from DIHAR and organising committee of Go Green Project.
