CEC Leh reviews status of revenue generation from different departments of Leh

Leh, Feb 04: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson convened a meeting today at the Conference Hall of DC Office Leh to review the status of revenue generation from all the departments of the Hill Council Leh.
All the concerned Head of Departments (HODs) apprised the Chairman on all the sources of revenue generation and the status of revenue collected by the departments to date. The departments include PWD, PDD, I&FC, PHE, Tourism, RDD, Geology & Mining, Industries, FCS &CA, MCL, Taxes, etc.
CEC Gyalson instructed the officers to maintain and utilize the revenue generated locally for strengthening departmental budgets given the finalization of the Hill Council fund rule. He also highlighted the need for exercising proper heads for maintaining consolidated funds of the Hill Council. Taking note of issues in various revenue sources from govt. infrastructures located at different places of the district, CEC Gyalson directed the concerned officers to renovate and outsource it further for proper functioning and maintenance in the future.
DC Leh also instructed all the HODs of the district to prepare a report cum proposal keeping in view the feedback received during the meeting and submit it to his office soon.
The meeting was attended by the HODs of all the concerned departments of District Administration led by DC/CEO LAHDC Leh, Shrikant Suse.
