CEC Feroz Khan visits SAI Training Centre at Kurbathang

KARGIL, JULY 27, 2021: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan visited Sports Authority of India (SAI) Training Centre at Kurbathang, Kargil here today.
The CEC was accompanied by the Executive Councillor for ITI Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Superintendent ITI Mohammad Kazim, Principal Government Degree College Kargil Dr Ameena Qari, General Manager NHPC.
Coaches, athletes and the staff of SAI Training Centre were present on the occasion.
The coaches briefed the CEC about the facilities, number of students, scope of different sports activities, performance of students etc. They also informed that there are 36 students in the age group of 12-16 years who are staying in the residential training centre to get themselves trained in different sports including Taekwondo and Boxing.
The coaches thanked the CEC for granting 500 kanals of land for establishment of sports infrastructure by the Sports Authority of India in Kargil.
Meanwhile, the CEC interacted with students and also visited various sections of the SAI Training Centre campus.
