    CEC Feroz Khan identifies cremation land for Buddhist, Hindu and Sikh communities (2)

    KARGIL, APRIL 26, 2022: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today identified cremation land for Buddhist, Hindu and Sikh Community at Upper Plateau, Kurbathang addressing a long pending demand of the people.
    The CEC accompanied by Executive Councillor for Tourism and Zanskar Affairs, Er Phunsuk Tashi, Deputy Commissioner/ CEO, Santosh Sukhadeve, and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Abdul Ghaffar Zargar visited the upper Plateau Kurbathang and identified 1 kanal land near the Marathon Army Line for cremation land.
    Pertinantly to mention that it was unanimously decided in the General Council Meeting held on April 18, 2022.
    Accordingly, the CEC advised the Deputy Commissioner to prepare the allotment process and also direct the Chief Executive Officer, KDA to prepare an estimate for the construction of wall, gate and two platforms.
    CEC Khan also identified land for a common graveyard at Kurbathang upper plateau near Choskore road.
