CEC Feroz Khan flags off Prachar Rath of Jal Jeevan Mission to various blocks of Kargil

KARGIL, DECEMBER 15, 2021: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor LAHDC Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today flagged off Prachar Rath (awareness campaign) of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) Scheme to various blocks of Kargil at Council Secretariat.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil Tsering Motup, Superintending Engineering Tashi Tundup, Incharge Executive Engineer PHE Furman Ali, Iftikhar Hussain Nodal Officer JJM Kargil, officers of PHE besides members of Implementation Support Agency (ISA) and concerned officers were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, CEC Khan emphasized that Jal Jeevan Mission is one of the prestigious schemes of Government of India to provide tap water connection to rural households.
He said in this regard the employees and stakeholders associated with the schemes will hold mass awareness programs in every village of blocks in the district to spread awareness through pamphlets, banners and other means of communication.
The CEC said that there is no dearth of funds in the scheme and its motive is to provide water through tap connection to every household.
“Therefore, I request the general public to participate more vigorously in this campaign and co-operate with the concerned department in the proper execution of this mission,” he said.
