    CEC Feroz Khan flags off mail van for carriage of mails, parcels, posts LAHDC Kargil making efforts to ensure smooth service to public: CEC

    KARGIL, MARCH 01, 2022: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil, Feroz Ahmed Khan Monday flagged off a mail van from sub-post office Kargil.
    The van is meant to be pressed into service for carriage of mails, parcels and posts to both directions of Drass and Suru Valleys.
    Executive Councilor for Works Sayed Abass Razvi, CEO/DC LAHDC Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve, Superintendent of Post Ladakh Division, Rattan Lal Atari along with Sub-Post Master Muhammad Abass Sharfi besides other officials of the Postal Department were present on the occasion.
    Responding to queries regarding the functioning of the Postal Department and problems faced by the public in receiving parcels, the CEC said that LAHDC Kargil has been persistently taking up the issue with all the higher authorities.
    He said in a recently held state-level DISHA meeting chaired by the Lieutenant Governor Ladakh, various issues pertaining to the Postal Department were discussed thoroughly.
    Earlier, the LG had directed Divisional Commissioner/Secretary, Saugat Biswas to ensure that the issues of Kargil were looked on priority.
    The current visit of the Superintendent of the post was also an outcome of the decisions taken in the same meeting. CEC further said the mail van was also an outcome of the same meeting.
    CEC Khan said that one more mail van will be inducted in the Postal Department to further streamline the functioning of the department in Kargil and solve problems faced by the general public in this regard.
