CEC Feroz Khan e-inaugurates Ladakh Heritage App

KARGIL, FEBRUARY 14, 2022: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmed Khan today virtually launched the ‘Ladakh Heritage Mobile App’ for the listing of Heritage/Historical sites of Ladakh.
Er. Punchok Tashi Executive Councillor for Tourism and Zanskar Affairs, Aga Syed Abbas Razvi Executive Councillor for works, Mohsin Ali Executive Councillor for Health, Syed Mujtaba Councilor LAHDC Kargil, Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Ghulam Muhammad and DIO NIC Kargil, Iftikhar Hussain attended the virtual event.
While launching the App, the CEC appreciated the efforts of the concerned departments and urged the concerned officials to exercise on the listing of important heritage sites at the grass-root level across Ladakh.
The DIO NIC Kargil gave a brief presentation and demonstration on the operational features of the Mobile App and how it can be used for listing of historical sites.
The listing of heritage sites of Ladakh is an initiative of the Department of Tourism and Culture Ladakh in coordination with the Department of Rural Development Ladakh with technical support of NIC Ladakh to identify and preserve the heritage sites of the UT.
