    CEC Feroz Khan congratulates Kargil Today for crossing 50k subscribers

    Kargil, Feb 05, 2023: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan today congratulated Kargil Today, a news YouTube channel, for crossing 50k subscribers and attended a function in this regard here at TFC, Kargil.

    Superintendent of Police, Kargil, Anayat Ali Choudhary, Joint Director, Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho, Chairman, Hajj Committee, Ladakh, Mohd Ali Majaz, representatives of Jamiatul Ulama Isna Ashria, Kargil, IKMT, Anjuman-e-Sahib Zaman, Kargil Buddhist Association, Sikh Community, media fraternity of Kargil besides others were present during the event.

    On the occasion, the CEC congratulated the Founder Editor of Kargil Today, Hosain Ibn Khalo for crossing 50,000 subscribers on YouTube and wished him the best for his future endeavours. Khan also spoke about the contribution of media fraternity of Kargil.

    While highlighting the role of electronic media in Kargil, the CEC said it helps in disseminating news and information to the masses.

    He said electronic media is more impactful than to contemporary communication mediums and has greatly influenced local culture and interactions. The CEC said electronic media has also helped the administration to know the grievances of the people.

    Khan applauded media for their outstanding contribution in highlighting the grievances of public and govt. schemes to mass level through their respective mediums.

    He requested the media fraternity to ensure fact check and re-verification of news before putting it in public domain and assured them full support from the administration.

    The CEC also directed Joint Director, Information, Ladakh, to introduce the welfare scheme for working journalists.

    At the event, Hosain Ibn Khalo who is also President of Ladakh Press Club, Kargil thanked all guests for attending the program and recalled his journey of creating the YouTube channel and his efforts of bringing it to people in the tough terrains of Ladakh.

    The program concluded with vote of thanks and Dua-e-Khair by Shiekh Abdullah Jalili, Islamic Advisor to Kargil Today.
