CEC Feroz Khan chairs review meeting under LAHDC untied grant 2021-22

KARGIL, JANUARY 31, 2022: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil, Feroz Ahmed Khan today chaired a review meeting regarding physical and financial progress of works under LAHDC untied grant 2021-22.
Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Kargil, Abdul Hadi apprised the meeting that for this financial year, a total of Rs 9.5 crore has been marked, out of which Rs 8 crores has been kept for works while around Rs 1.5 crore for purchasing of machinery.
The CPO said around Rs 2.20 crore of expenditure has been achieved by the different departments.
CEC took a detailed review from the officers of the respective departments regarding the expenditure achieved under untied grant 2021-22.
In view of cold climate conditions, Khan directed the concerned officers to submit the list of works to CPO related to construction works that wouldn’t be completed within this financial year.
He directed the concerned officers to book maximum expenditure within two weeks and said that a review meeting will be taken after the stipulated time period to monitor the expenditure.
CEC directed the CPO to constitute a committee and identify a procurement store in Srinagar for stockpiling of equipment purchased by various departments.
Khan stressed for maximum expenditure under LAHDC untied grant 2021-22, in order to utilize grants for the benefits of people at large.
Executive Councilor for works Aga Syed Abass Razvi, Executive Councilor for Zanskar affairs and Tourism Er Tashi Phunsok, Executive Councilor for Health Mohsin Ali, Assistant Commissioner Revenue(ACR), Abdul Gaffar Zargar, Abdul Hadi, Assistant Commissioner Development(ACD) Ghulam Muhammad, Executive Engineers of R&B 2nd, I&FC, PDD, PHE, SVD Sankoo, officers of Health, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, KREDA, Cooperative, Handloom and Soil Conservation besides other concerned officers were present during the meeting.
