    KARGIL, MARCH 16, 2022: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC) LAHDC Kargil, Feroz Ahmad Khan today chaired a review meeting at Council Secretariat to assess the physical and financial achievements under subsidy component for the financial year 2021-22.
    Executive Councillor (EC) Social Welfare, Aga Syed Hassan Arman, EC Works Aga Syed Abbas Razvi, EC Health Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve, Chief Controller Finance, Iftikhar Hussain, Chief Education Officer, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Kargil, Chief Horticulture Officer, Accounts Officer to DC Kargil, District Sheep Husbandry Officer, Executive Engineer, EPD, PDC, Dy. Registrar Cooperatives, District Youth Services and Sports Officer, District Soil Conservation Officer, Assistant Director Tourism, Assistant Director Fisheries, Superintendent Handloom Kargil besides other concerned officers attended the meeting.
    The meeting was informed that for the financial year 2021-22, under the subsidy component, out of the allotted Rs 25 crores, Rs 19 crores have been spent through various concerned departments, while Rs 5 crores is anticipated to incur expenditure before the end of the current financial year, thus the total percentage of expenditure is 83 percent.
    CEC Khan said that although the scheme was initiated for the first time, however, the results are overwhelming.
    Khan said that from next year, the scheme will be operated more smoothly and with precision and all efforts will be taken to give more benefits to the beneficiaries.
    The CEC directed the concerned officers to clear the pendency before the end of the financial year and achieve 100 percent expenditure.
    He said soon the UT Administration will frame guidelines for the proper execution of funds under the subsidy component and directed to apply for the EAT module from the next financial year.
    Earlier, CEC Khan took an assessment of the physical and financial expenditure under the subsidy component of various departments, during which he was informed that all the concerned departments have achieved maximum expenditure and the rest of the balance will be expenditure before the end of this month.
