    CEC Feroz Khan chairs review meeting of Education Department Flags off 6 school buses purchased under Capex

    KARGIL, MARCH 15, 2022: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan today chaired a review meeting of Education Department Kargil at conference hall Baroo.
    Executive Councilor Works, Aga Syed Abass Razvi, Executive Councilor Health Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner and CEO, LAHDC, Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kargil, Mushtaq Ahmed, Principle DIET, Zonal Education Officers, besides principles of various Govt. Higher Secondary Schools were present during the meeting.
    CEC Khan said education is top priority of LAHDC Kargil and they are committed to take necessary steps towards the betterment of education in the district. He said in the past two years, students faced a lot of hurdles due to the Covid-19 restrictions.
    He said LAHDC Kargil along with District Administration have successfully been able to provide education to students through community classes and distributed tablets.
    During the meeting, the CEC directed all ZEOs to take necessary arrangements of teachers within their own capacities to fill the necessary vacant posts in schools as per the need.
    Khan also directed ZEOs to ensure that no teacher should leave the school during the working period without the proper authority of the principle or head of the institution.
    Regarding detachment and adjustment of teachers, CEC Khan directed CEO Kargil to adjust and streamline the structure within a week to fill the posts of vacant teachers immediately.
    Furthermore, he directed CEO Kargil to immediately constitute a committee of experts regarding the formation of guidelines for model schools adding that accordingly necessary steps will be taken in the future for the approval of model schools.
    The CEC also instructed ZEOs to meet with Xen PHE Department and prepare a list of schools connected with FHTCs under JJM and furnish the report within a day.
    During the meeting, DC Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve stressed to do the necessary analysis of the development of schools according to the result outcomes. He said the responsibility of the functioning of the schools is the collective responsibility.
    DC Santosh directed the concerned officers to prepare a detailed report within two days regarding KGBVs functional in the district along with necessary construction or maintenance works.
    DC Kargil said all government schools will be connected with electric meters and instructed all the principles to prepare report of their respective schools within 4 days.
    During the course of the meeting, CEO Kargil, Mushtaq Ahmed gave a detailed overview about the present status of education of the district including the number of Middle Schools, High Schools, Higher Secondary Schools, enrolment of students in various schools, no of teachers, masters, lecturers present at various schools, physical achievement of construction of additional schools buildings and other necessary measures related to schools in the district.
    Later, detailed discussions and deliberations were held with the principles of the schools of the district regarding the issues including readjustment of teaching staff within schools, construction of additional buildings, maintenance works, issues pertaining to the implementation of CBSE board, potable drinking water in schools, development of sports-related infrastructure and other issues.
    CEC Khan gave a patient hearing to all issues and grievances projected by the principles of the schools and assured them phased redressal of the issues.
    Meanwhile, the CEC also flagged off 6 school buses purchased under CAPEX Budget (2021-22) which will be handed over to Higher Secondary School Drass, Padum, Panikhar, Shargole, Barsoo and Chiktan.
    In order to procure more buses for deserving areas, funds have been provisioned under Capex budget 2022.
