CEC Feroz Khan chairs review meeting at Council Secretariat

KARGIL, MAY 14, 2022: Chairman and Chief Executive Councilor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan today chaired a review meeting of officers at Council Secretariat here to discuss developmental works of different departments especially PDD.
The meeting was attended by Executive Councillor for Social Welfare, Aga Syed Hassan Arman Mosavi, Executive Councilor Health, Aga Syed Abbas Razvi, Executive Councillor for Tourism and Zanskar Affairs. Er Phunsok Tashi, Executive Councillor for Works Mohsin Ali, Secretary, Cooperatives, Power, Animal/Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries, Horticulture/Agriculture Department, UT Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar Dangi, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Director Animal Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries Department, Dr Muhammad Raza, Chief Engineer PDD UT Ladakh, SE Nisar Ahmad, SE Tashi of Irrigation Department, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer, Deputy Registrar Cooperatives, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Chief Sheep Husbandry Officer, Deputy Director Fisheries, Executive Engineers of PDD and PDC, Project Director KREDA officials of DYSSO and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
During the meeting, the CEC took a detailed review of the functioning of several departments like PDD, Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture and Sports.
CEC Khan directed the concerned officers of PDD and other executing agencies to complete the remaining developmental works related to power in Kargil town and other areas of the district at the earliest.
He also directed the concerned officers to work in coordination and clear the bottle necks of the projects and ensure uninterrupted power supply to the people.
The CEC also said that measures need to be taken in order to develop power infrastructure in the district and address public issues.
The meeting also discussed in detail PMDP and IDPS schemes of PDD and concerned officers were directed to complete the works at the earliest possible time.
During the course of meeting the concerned officers of PDD asked the concerned executing agency to complete the repair work of poles and wires in Kargil town and ensure the works are completed on proper time.
The meeting also discussed power generation capacity and ways and means to improve the same the in order to further push the power sector in the district.
During the meeting, the CEC also discussed the drought situation in several areas of Kargil and said that LAHDC Kargil will support the farmers after proper assessment.
The concerned officers of the departments briefed the meeting about the functioning and development works of their respective departments.
Regarding power sector the Secretary Ravinder also directed the concerned officers to complete remaining works and provide uninterrupted power supply to the people.
While speaking about sports sector, Secretary Ravinder informed that they have kept Rs 10 crores budget for the sports activities and infrastructure development and directed the concerned department to make a plan to organize sports events at subdivision level.
