    KARGIL, May 06, 2022: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today chaired a meeting at Council Secretariat to formulate action plan /guidelines of schemes under subsidy component for the financial year 2022-23.
    Executive Councilor Works Aga Syed Abbas Razvi, Executive Councilor Social Welfare Aga Syed Hassan Arman, Executive Councilor Health Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Chief Controller Finance (CCF) Kargil Iftikhar Hussain besides concerned district officers of various departments attended the meeting.
    Detailed discussion and deliberations were held on different aspects in order to draft various works under the subsidy component for the year 2022-23.
    The CEC directed all the concerned departments to frame guidelines of every scheme.
    As regards to Education Department, CEC Khan directed to frame a proposal in order to fill the vacancy of science and mathematics teachers under academic arrangement at the earliest.
    Khan also directed to draft a Specific Action Plan in order to make provisions for monetary aid to Rarzi Barzi and Chospon under the subsidy component.
    During the meeting, it was also decided to explore the potential of solar and electric bicycles on a trial basis for the students’ community at the earliest.
    The CEC further directed KREDA to make proposal for 200 LPD solar heaters at the earliest. Khan highlighted that the renewable energy devices and systems distributed by KREDA besides being eco-friendly must make the living in the rugged topography of Kargil healthy and comfortable and in this regard the department is adhering to the goals of green Ladakh.
    He said LAHDC Kargil is committed and targeted to achieve the goals of Carbon Neutral and the renewable energy systems proposed under subsidy and other relevant schemes and the proposals shall be made to achieve maximum sustainable development.
    In the meeting, it was also decided to hire drivers on honorarium for a period of ten months for the buses granted to Higher Secondary Schools in Kargil.
    DC Santosh Sukhadeve asserted to explore the potential of execution and operation of flour mills on solar energy and directed to frame a proposal in this regard at the earliest.
    He further said that in order to strengthen sporting activities and infrastructure at club and societies-level, monetary provisions should be placed under the subsidy component.
    Pertinently, the budget for the subsidy component for 2022-23 has been stipulated as Rs 25 crores.
