CEC Feroz Khan chairs Governing Body meeting of KREDA

    KARGIL, MAY 05, 2022: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan, who is also the Chairman of Kargil Renewable Energy Development Authority (KREDA), today chaired its Governing Board meeting at KREDA office, Kurbathang.

    Executive Councillor for works Aga Syed Abass Rizvi, Executive Councillor for Health Mohsin Ali, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, District Treasury Officer Iftikhar Hussain, Project Director KREDA Kacho Ahmad Khan, AWE Ghulam Ali Nagvi and other officials of KREDA attended the meeting.

    Project Director, KREDA gave a detailed powerpoint presentation on the progress and review of projects under the agency including installation of solar water heaters, solar greenhouse, solar photovoltaic and small hydro projects (SHP).

    As a result of projects, the Agency is contributing to save Carbon in the region–a step towards Carbon Neutral Ladakh goal to be achieved by 2050.

    The meeting held a detailed discussion on tariff revision, Small Hydro Project Biaras in Grid, indoor switchyard for Small Hydro Project Raru, commissioning of SHP Raru, release of balanced funds of SHP and Solar Photovoltaic (SPV) in Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, 2 MW capacity Grid-Connected SPV plant to be proposed under PM-KUSUM (Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan), among other issues of the Agency.

    The CEC instructed the concerned officials to speed up the projects in special reference to SHP Raru.
