CEC convenes a meeting to discuss Chadar Trek and allied winter tourism activities.

    Leh, Dec 22: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Adv. Tashi Gyalson convened a meeting to discuss Chadar trek and allied winter activities.
    By taking into consideration the rising cases of COVID 19, it was decided that Chadar Trek will be suspended this time.
    He informed that the Hill Council Leh is in process of considering Chadar trek as an exclusive tourist destination in the coming years by taking note of preserving the crucial environment.
    In this regard, he instructed the concerned stakeholders to formulate guidelines and frameworks and bring them for discussion at Hill council Leh.
    The meeting was attended by Dy CEC, Tsering Angchuk; Executive Councilor, Animal husbandry, Rural Development, Tashi Namgyal Yakzee; Executive Councilor, Minority/Forest, Ghulam Mehdi; CEO/DC Leh, Director, Tourism Ladakh, CMO, Leh, ADC, Leh, Chief Planning Officer, Leh, representatives of ALTOA, ALGHA.
