CEC chairs meeting to discuss developmental works of Yourbaltak constituency

KARGIL, MAY 09, 2022: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today chaired a meeting to review the developmental works of Yourbaltak councilor constituency here at Council Secretariat.
Councillor Yourbaltak Kacho Ahmad Khan, BDC Chairperson Sodh Zakir Hussain, SE Hydraulic Tashi Tundup, ACD Ghulam Muhammad, Executive Engineer PHE Muhammad Hassan Lone, Executive Engineer REW Gulzar Hussain Munshi, Chief Agriculture Officer Kacho Muhammad Ali Khan, AEE I&FC among other concerned attended the meeting.
The meeting discussed various measures in detail to protect the area from drought-like-situation. It was informed that a micro solar lift irrigation is functional while the CEC on the request of the Councillor instructed both I&FC and PHE to check and report the feasibility of the area to use the micro lift irrigation water for conventional irrigation purpose.
CEC Khan further instructed the concerned officers to submit a proposal for fencing of apricot orchard recently developed under drip and micro lift irrigation system. The concerned officers assured to submit a proposal in this regard soon.
The meeting also discussed drought relief, arrear land compensation, Sodh Lift Irrigation Project and other issues. The CEC assured to take up the issues with concerned officers for early redressal.
