    CEC assures the youth of Ladakh about the efforts of the Administration in bringing employment opportunities

    Leh, Dec 23: The Chairman/CEC, LAHDC Leh, Adv. Tashi Gyalson assured the youth of UT Ladakh that UT Administration and Hill Council are putting their best efforts to provide them employment opportunities. He said that it took some time because we had to start everything from scratch.
    It is informed that the Advisor to LG, UT Ladakh will be reviewing the progress of the recruitment process today. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has already been referred to advertise 416 posts, including Junior Engineer, Account Assistant, Junior Statistical Assistant and Statistical Assistant among others. The Administration also informed that approximately 300 additional posts in various categories would be referred to SSC by Dec 31.
    The application process for the advertised 213 posts of constables by the Ladakh Police will commence by Dec 31. J&K Bank has also notified 45 posts of Probationary Officers/Banking Associates specifically for recruitment in Ladakh.
    After the formation of UT Ladakh, 613 district cadre regular posts have been filled and 604 youths are already engaged on an outsourcing basis.
    The respective District Administration are in the process of chalking out additional vacancies for the District Cadre Posts. Likewise, 37 Recruitment Rules of non-gazetted posts are finalised and the recruitment rules of gazetted cadre would also be finalised at the earliest.
