Block Health Mela held at Nyoma

Leh, April 22: A Block Health Mela was organised at PHC Nyoma today, headed by SDM, Nyoma, Jigmet Angchuk to commemorate the 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.
Several stalls for registration and screening of non-communicable disease (NCD), diabetes / Hypertension, etc were set up. Also, Amchi clinic was set up during the health mela.
SDM Nubra urged the public to take the benefit of health mela.
Earlier, Dr Tsering Angchuk, BMO Nyoma briefed about the importance of the Golden Card and Health ID Card and stressed people to take benefit of all health schemes.
A colourful cultural programme was presented by medical staff and students of NRS Puga Nomadic Residential School (NRS).
Nambardar Nyoma, Padma Namdol; Sharap Angdu, Nambardar, Mudh; Sonam Tundup, Amchi, Chumathang; Dr Tsering Angchuk BMO, Nyoma along with other doctors and medical staff attended the Health Mela. Also, a large number of people from various villages of Nyoma block attended the health mela.
