    AICTE organises awareness workshop on PMSSS in Leh

    Leh, Sept 17: All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) organised one day awareness workshop on Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) for students of Leh at Paras Hall Higher Secondary School, Boys Leh today.
    Around 70 students from both government and private schools attended the PMSSS awareness workshop.
    Professor, Ajeet Angral, Consultant PMSSS shared information with the students and advised the aspirants to select the courses as per their aptitude and capabilities. He said that the scholarship scheme can bring a paradigm shift in the education system and economy of the district.
    Professor Angral assured every support to the students of Leh in realizing their career goals through the PMSSS and briefed about the online registration and documents verification process. Also, briefed about the precautionary measures to be taken during registration, verification and counselling.
    Later, interaction session was conducted in which queries of the students were answered by the consultant.
    Under PMSSS students are offered scholarships for pursuing undergraduate courses in Medical, Engineering and General Streams outside the state for which amount of scholarship
    Students who are the domicile residents of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh who have passed 10+2 examination from J&K Board or CBSE located in J&K and willing to study outside the state, having the family income of Rs 8 lakh or below per annum are eligible to avail benefit under the scheme
    Principals of Higher Secondary Schools, Nodal Officers of government and private schools and students were present during the awareness programme
