ADC Kargil chairs meeting ahead of Kisan Mela

KARGIL, APRIL 22, 2022: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kargil Ghulam Mohi-ud-Din today convened a meeting with concerned officers ahead of Kisan Mela which will be held in Kargil in the premises of Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kargil on 26 April 2022.
The meeting was attended by Chief Agriculture Officer, Kacho Muhammad Khan, Incharge Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr Niyaz Ahmad, Assistant Director Fisheries Dr Murtaza, Dr Mehdi and Dr Nasreen both scientists of KVK Kargil.
During the meeting, the ADC instructed the concerned officers to ensure necessary arrangements for the Kisan Mela and make all the preparations to make the event successful.
Officials informed that like other parts of the country Kisan Bhagidari Prathmikta Hamari Campaign will be organized under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration from 25th April to 30th April, 2022 in Kargil.
The scheduled event date of Kisan Mela has now been preponed to 26 April 2022 and it will be organized at district level in the premises of KVK Kargil.
The activities to be undertaken during the Kisan Mela include organizing exhibitions on natural farming, farm mechanization, best agriculture practices, emerging technologies, etc. for the benefit of the farmers.
It also includes setting up a stage with Pandal for the interaction of scientists of KVK and farmers with adequate seating arrangements for the farmers and for also organizing cultural events, etc. various programs/schemes of Govt.
Sharing of information related to of India with farmers and felicitation of progressive and innovative farmers of the district will be part of it.
