    5 deaths; 202 new positive cases report in UT Ladakh; 156 patients cured and discharged

    Leh, May 19: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh last night, a total of 202 new positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received yesterday. Out of the total positive reports, 164 reports were received by CMO Leh and 38 positive sample reports were received by CMO Kargil.

    UT Ladakh reports the death of five patients from Covid-19 yesterday; four in Leh and one in Kargil. The total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has reached 170; 123 in Leh and 47 in Kargil.

    The bulletin further details that UT Ladakh has discharged 156 patients yesterday. Out of which 137 patients were discharged by CMO Leh and 19 patients were discharged by CMO Kargil. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has gone up to 1583; 1300 in Leh district and 283 in Kargil district.

    The bulletin further informs that 293 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 38 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltse check post on Monday.
