    25-day entrepreneurship programme, 7-day skill-testing certificate under Skill India and Make in India programme concludes today

    Leh, April 19: Food Craft Institute/ Institute of Hotel Management, Department of Tourism, UT Ladakh organized a Certificate Distribution Ceremony of Skill Testing Certificate under Skill India Mission under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shrikant Suse at Taski-Thang near Lamdon School.
    The event started with the distribution of certificates to the participants
    The 25-day entrepreneurship programme and 7-day Skill testing certification under Skill India and Make in India Programme Leh concluded today. Deputy Commissioner Leh, Shrikant Suse presided over the function as the chief guest along with Director Tourism, UT Ladakh, KunzesAngmo; Additional Deputy Commissioner/ Principal of Institute of Hotel Management, Leh, Sonam Chosjor; President ALHGHA, SkarmaTsering Dehlex and Director LEDEG, IsheyTundup .
    Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Shrikant Suse congratulated the trainees on the completion of the course. He also spoke on the restructuring of fees regarding the hospitality course, since hospitality and tourism are the main source of income. Also, he spoke on the importance of placement.
    Director Tourism, Ladakh Kunzes Angmo congratulated the students and the faculty members and spoke on the importance of practising the learnt skills and their role in enhancing their skills.
    Additional Deputy Commissioner/ Principal of the Institute of Hotel Management, Sonam Chosjor congratulated the trainees and appreciated the efforts of faculty members. He stressed on organising more awareness programmes regarding the Hotel management course, creativity in entrepreneurship and the importance of this kind of course in the hospitality sector. He informed about the upcoming degree courses. He also spoke on the key role of ALHGHA in providing placement to the newly trained students in the Hospitality Sector of Ladakh.
    President, ALHGHA, SkarmaTsering Dehlex congratulated the trainees and advised them to be employment providers rather than becoming employment seekers. He said that the Tourism is the backbone of Ladakh’s economy and skilled human resource plays an important role in the tourism sector.
