    2 deaths; 177 new positive cases report in UT Ladakh; 181 patients cured and discharged

    Leh, May 16: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh last night, a total of 177 new positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received yesterday. Out of the total positive reports, 174 reports were received by CMO Leh and three positive sample reports were received by CMO Kargil.

    UT Ladakh reports the death of two patients from Covid-19 yesterday; one each in Leh and Kargil. The total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has reached 165; 119 in Leh and 46 in Kargil.

    The bulletin further details that UT Ladakh has discharged 181 patients yesterday. Out of which 165 patients were discharged by CMO Leh and 16 patients were discharged by CMO Kargil. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has come down to 1549; 1260 in Leh district and 289 in Kargil district.

    The bulletin further informs that 324 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 56 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Upshi check post on Friday and 12 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltse check post on Friday.
