    KARGIL, AUGUST 17, 2021: 2 day training/handholding sessions on all modules of Public Financial Management System (PFMS) for all DDOs mapped with PAO Kargil and CDDO Sankoo besides the officers and officials of Accounts Services posted in Kargil District concluded at Conference Hall Baroo here today.
    Additional Secretary Finance Ladakh D C Rajathkumar, other concerned officers of Finance Department UT Ladakh, trainers from the PFMS Division, Controller General of Accounts, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, Government of India besides the officers and officials of Accounts Services posted in Kargil District were present during the second day of the training programme today.
    Addressing the participants, Additional Secretary Finance Ladakh D C Rajathkumar said that Government of India is taking added steps to give an overview of PFMS to the DDOs of Ladakh UT and the changes that has come about in the system. He further suggested the trainers to deliver about the modules as per the requirement of the trainees and stressed for sessions to be interactive and practical.
    The Additional Secretary Finance Ladakh also urged the trainees to get maximum benefits of the programme, and pursue the training seriously to get clarity about the concepts, adding he assured that institutional training programmes will also be imparted to the DDOs and other concerned officials in near future.
    Deputy Director Finance Ladakh Iftikhar Hussain while expressing gratitude to the Additional Secretary for his overall supervision for smooth conduct of the 2 day programme said that the sessions would prove beneficial for the trainees.
    Earlier, District Treasury Officer/Pay and Accounts Officer Kargil Muhammad Hanif Tantray while briefing about the modules delivered to the participants on the first day said that there has been a very interactive session, and it is hoped that at the end of the programme, the attendees will get clarity about different modules of PFMS.
    Pertinently, the 2 day training/handholding programme has been organized by the Department Finance UT Ladakh with the assistance of the PFMS Division, Controller General of Accounts, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, Government of India during which the trainers including Senior Accounts Officers Seema and Pradeep Kumar Deshmukh, Accounts Officers Anil Kumar Mahindro and other team members enlightened the DDOs about different PFMS modules.
    Deputy Director Finance Ladakh Iftikhar Hussain, District Treasury Officer/Pay and Accounts Officer Kargil Muhammad Hanif Tantray, Chief Controller Finance (CCF), LAHDC, Kargil Showkat Ali Rather, Accounts Officer to Deputy Commissioner Kargil Ajaz Hussain besides all DDOs attended the training programme.
    During the course of the the training programme trainers from the PFMS Division, Controller General of Accounts, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, Government of India imparted additional detailed training to the DDOs besides the officers and officials of Accounts Services posted in Kargil District on different aspects of PFMS modules including Employee Information System (EIS) Salary Module, General Provident Fund (GPF) Module, Pension Module, Non Tax Receipt Portal (NTRP) and other related aspects.
    The DDOs and officers and officials of Accounts Services were enlightened in detail about the updation of office details on the PFMS Portal, data entry for employee basic details, employee bank details and government quarter details, data entry for loans/recovery, entry of advance details (HBA/Computer/GPF), recovery of excess payment, special festival package advance entry, addition of exceptional rules, eligibility for exceptional allowances/deductions for a specific employee, 7th pay allowances and deductions for UT Ladakh, view draft salary for confirmation of pay details, verification of employees data by DDO checker, attach/detach employees to bill groups and pay bill processing etc.
