    1 death; 49 new positive cases report in UT Ladakh; 96 patients cured and discharged

    Leh, May 31: As per the media bulletin released by the Directorate of Health Services UT Ladakh last night, a total of 49 new positive sample reports of Covid-19 were received yesterday. Out of the total positive reports, 39 reports were received by CMO Leh and 10 positive sample reports were received by CMO Kargil. While, a total of 1915 sample reports in UT Ladakh; Leh: 844 and Kargil: 1071 were found negative.
    With the death of one patient from Covid-19 reported by CMO Kargil yesterday, the total number of deaths in UT Ladakh has reached 188; 136 in Leh and 52 in Kargil.
    The bulletin further details that UT Ladakh has discharged 96 patients yesterday. Out of which 78 patients were discharged by CMO Leh and 18 patients were discharged by CMO Kargil. With this, the total number of COVID-19 active cases in UT Ladakh has come down to 1555; 1342 in Leh district and 213 in Kargil district.
    The bulletin further informs that 451 passengers were screened at KBR Airport Leh yesterday. While 19 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Khaltse check post yesterday and 84 passengers including the drivers and helpers of trucks, and light motor vehicles were screened at Upshi check post.
